The purpose of this study was to investigate the acute inhalation toxicity in SD rats inhaled 1-bromopropane(1-BP). Five groups of rats were inhaled with 0, 11,000, 13,000, 15,000, and 17,000ppm of 1-bromopropane. The median lethal concentration (LCD) was estimated 14,374ppm (95% confidence limit; 13,624∼15,596ppm). Abnormal clinical signs were not observed to the exposure of four hours inhalation dose of 1-BP. Changes of body weight were nat significant between control group and treated groups. Gross findings of necropsy revealed no evidence of specific toxity related to the 1-BP. No specific toxicologic lesions were observed by the histopathological test.
